everything for myself was a tremendous struggle.
First, there is worrying about the transport to college. Being used to my mother waking me up and driving me to school, catching the bus every morning isn't easy, especially since no one i waking me up in the morning.
Second, there is the problem of whether or not i shall find food when i get back to my apartment. BUDGETING!!!! Budgets are EVIL. Having to control how much i eat during the span of a day is excruciating. Food should be free for international students..lol!!!
Okay!!! I know I've been talking a lot about the negative aspects of college life, which happen to be a lot, but there are a lot of positive aspects too.
Coming to college introduced me to a million new people, figuratively speaking, that i hold dear. Thanks to my new found friends, i am able to survive college life, especially since they help me a lot in every aspect of life.
I have also been able to visit many different places and experiences many new things, like blow piping..lol...fishing and learning how to cook satay and lemang. I also managed to go to rural areas and experience life as they know it. Doing such activities is amazingly fun and I actually would jump if someone was to come and even SUGGEST that I go swim in a waterfall...but I actually DID IT!!..and it was thanks to my college.
So ironically, even though there are certain shortcomings when it comes to college life, the experiences I've had here are more worthwhile.
